A noncommittal fog rolled in. And then it rolled out. The light snow came and went, too. But that didn't stop Steve and me from this easy 2.7-mile up-and-back hike up Tenderfoot Mountain, right above the northeast part of Dillon Lake in Dillon, Colo. We had our rain jackets. We had our puffies. And we had our determination to explore between the trees over the Memorial Day weekend. The trail winded through aspens lined up like soldiers, bushes scattered with more spontaneity and blossoming flowers, bright against the misty backdrop. And wouldn't you know, the next day was dry and sunny. Oh, how I love your moods, Colorado.
